Our lifeline: People

People are fascinating beings; we come in all different varieties, shapes and forms. We are a complex mix of personalities, cultures, backgrounds, races and religions. Throughout our lifetime we would have met, influenced and have been influenced by hundreds of different kinds of people. For this reason, I think we should really be aware of the messages we convey and how we carry out our daily relations, for sometimes we never would have known the effect we have had on others during this life’s journey; not only our friends and loved ones but also children, elders in society, people we would have worked with or even the man on the street. Despite the level of interaction we engage in, people have helped to shape our lives: the choices and decisions we make and generally everything we do, either in a direct or indirect way whether we realize it or not. Here and Now

Life is what you make it, or so the saying goes…. but is it really? Life can be tumultuous…it has its ups and downs, beginnings and endings. Sometimes we wish we could choose what will be our ending. As we go through the motions, charting our own territory and trying to find our purpose in this world…it sometimes crosses our mind…is there something more? ....(c)

Seasons Change

Time after time we find ourselves stuck in the moment. That one moment of time that we thought was the zenith of our lives…the be-all-and end all of time times infinity. The thing is, life is an evolution and there are always new adventures to behold. If we prevent ourselves from experiencing new things, how do we know what else is out there? Be it a career, location or thing there is always more to experience. The day we wake up and tell ourselves that this is all there is to life, is the day we stop living.

For many of us, we want one of those TV lives that we see when we’re surfing for a good movie, where everything is perfect and surreal. The truth is that those things only happen on television and those actors actually have real lives like us...(c)

Fruits of our Labour

The euphoria of realizing our innermost aspirations is priceless and matches no other feeling in the world. Ever since I can remember myself, I was always curious as to people’s passion in life. I knew what mine was, but to almost everyone I meet, I would always ask the question: if money was not an issue and we lived in an utopia where we did not have to work for a living, what would you do? The answer must resonate deep within your soul, because no one else in the world possesses the exact talent and abilities as you do, hence the reason for each of us being put here on this earth... (c)
